and why each part exists
Minday is an app for organising notes, shared expenses, and reminders — privately in your own account, or shared with your partner, family, or flatmates. This is the long version of what's inside.
Notes, checklists and reminders are one thing
Most apps make you decide up front whether you're writing a note, a to-do, or a shopping list. Minday doesn't. You capture text — what it becomes depends on what you add to it.

Add nothing — it's a note
A thought, an address, a wifi password. It just sits there until you need it.

Add a date — it's a reminder
It moves into Today or Upcoming on your Home feed, and everyone in the space can be notified.

Add a list name — it's a checklist
Paste several lines at once and each becomes its own tickable item. Check off, clear the done ones, or tick the whole list.

Make it recurring
Daily, weekly on chosen days, monthly or yearly. The next occurrence appears on its own — no copying last week's list forward.
A ledger that answers questions, not just records them
Every space has its own expense and income ledger — who paid, what for, and what it added up to. Then Minday does the parts people usually export to a spreadsheet for.

The shared ledger
Log an expense or income against a category, with who paid it. Everyone in the space sees the same running month, broken down by category and by person.

Categories you control
Every space starts with a sensible set of expense and income categories, and the space owner can rename, add or remove them. One space's list never affects another's.

Recurring bills post themselves
Set rent or the internet bill up once and each cycle is logged automatically, with the space notified. A dedicated screen lists every recurring entry so you can edit the amount, stop it, or delete it — and past entries are never rewritten.

Six months at a glance
Expense against income for each of the last six months, on one scale so the months are genuinely comparable — plus the running balance and a total for the whole window.

Your heaviest days
The seven biggest spending days of any month, with the categories behind each one — the quickest way to find where a month actually went. Income has its own ranking too.

Splitting and settling up
Turn it on for a shared space and Minday splits the month's expenses evenly, works out each person's balance, and reduces it to the fewest payments that clear everyone. Off by default — a family ledger usually isn't a debt to be settled.
Splitting is a per-space setting the owner turns on, so the spaces where "who owes whom" would feel wrong simply never show it.
The dates nobody should be the only one remembering
Birthdays, anniversaries, a renewal, the day the lease ends. Kept in the space they belong to, so the whole family gets the reminder — not just the one person who wrote it down.

Once, monthly, or every year
A yearly date rolls forward on its own. A date that doesn't exist in a given month — the 31st, or Feb 29 — is simply skipped rather than guessed at.

A heads-up, then the day itself
You're always notified on the day. Add an optional few days' notice when the point is to actually buy something first.
The one idea everything else sits inside
A space is a circle of people — or just you. Every item, expense and date belongs to exactly one, which is what keeps your own life and a shared one from bleeding into each other.
A Personal space from day one
Created the moment you sign up, visible only to you, and it can never be deleted. Share nothing at all if that's all you need.
New spaces in seconds
A name and a colour. That colour tags the space's items everywhere, and quietly retints the app while you're inside it.
Invite by email or link
A single-use email invite, or a share link you can regenerate whenever you want. Nothing to provision for anyone.
No roles to manage
Anyone in a space can add or check off anything. Editing or deleting stays with whoever created it, so nobody rewrites your entry.
Switch in one tap
The space switcher sits in the header. Move between your own life and a shared one without logging out of anything.
Home sees across all of them
One feed of what's due today and coming up, from every space at once — so nothing hides in a circle you weren't looking at.
Told the right things, in the right place
Enough to be useful. Not so much that you turn it all off.
Per-category control
Reminders, space activity, important dates and the daily digest are each their own switch — plus a master toggle. Push and the in-app inbox both follow it.
Mute one space
A busy shared space can go quiet without touching the notifications from anywhere else. Its activity still lands in your inbox to read later.
Across timezones
Everyone sees every time in their own timezone, so a reminder one family member sets still arrives at the right moment for another living abroad.

Download Minday from the Google Play Store for Android, or add it to your home screen from any browser — push notifications and offline access included.
Light and dark
Follows your device by default, or pin it either way. The current space's colour carries through both.
Yours, and deletable
Sign in with email or Google — Minday only ever asks Google for your name, email and photo, never Gmail, Drive or Calendar. You can delete your account and its data whenever you want.

Every account opens with a Personal space that's yours alone. Add the shared ones when you're ready — available on web and Android.
